Professor Anas Ratib Alsoud is a distinguished academic leader and expert in higher education innovation, international accreditation, and university rankings. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Association of Arab Universities (AArU), where he leads strategic initiatives that advance collaboration, quality assurance, and global engagement across more than 450 Arab universities. Prof. Alsoud served as a Global Higher Education Innovation Fellow at the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard University (TECH), where he focused on driving innovation and institutional transformation within higher education systems.
Anas is a Professor of Informatics (Electronic Business and Commerce) with over 15 years of experience in academia and university leadership. He holds a BSc in Computer Information Systems from the University of Jordan (2006), an MSc in Managing Information Technology from Salford University, UK (2007), and a PhD in Informatics from the University of Reading, UK (2012).
Prof. Alsoud held several senior academic and administrative positions, including Vice President for International Relations and Quality, Dean of Student Affairs, Director of the Center for Innovation and Excellence, and Head of the E-Business and MIS Departments. His research and professional work focus on e-business, e-government, cloud computing, and digital transformation in developing countries.
Prof. Alsoud served on multiple international advisory boards, including QS, and Times Higher Education (THE). He is keen to play a key role in empowering Arab universities to enhance their global standing and institutional impact through innovation, collaboration, and evidence-based strategy.
